Santa Made Me Do It 5K

The Santa Made Me Do It 5K will be held Sat., Dec. 8, 2018 at Town Hall on Town Green, 36 Main St., Bethlehem, CT 06751. Parking is at the Bethlehem Fair Grounds, 384 Main St. N. Buses will shuttle visitors to the Town Green continuously from 8:30 am throughout the day. The race, which includes a 5k run, 2 mile walk and 1/4 mile Kids Fun Run, is part of the Bethlehem Christmastown Festival. The race is organized by The First Mile.

5K and walking participants can register online at santamademerun.com $25 per person plus $2.50 signup fee. Online registration ends at 4:00 pm, Dec. 7th. Race day registration $30. The kid’s fun run is free.

T shirts guaranteed if registered by Nov. 30th.

Christmas-themed costumes encouraged.

The Kids Run is free for youngsters under 9 years.

8:00 am Shuttle bus begins

8:30 am Packet pickup and race day registration at Bethlehem Fire Station

9:30 am Kids 1/4 mile Fun Run begins

10:00 am 5K and 2 mile walk begin

Awards and Bethlehem Christmastown Festival.

Awards will go to the top overall male and female finishers as well as the top three male and female finishers in each of 9 age groups. Every finisher will receive a custom ornament.

Ferncliff Forest 5K Turkey Trot

The Ferncliff Forest 5K Turkey Trot will be held Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018 at the Baptist Church, Montgomery Street, Rhinebeck, NY 12572.

The race, which is sponsored by Ferncliff Forest, is a run/walk event.

Pre-register at runsignup.com. First 500 entrants get a T shirt. Early registration ends Nov. 12th. The age-related, early registration entry fees are as follows: Adults $25; age 11-17 $20; age 10 and under $10. Note: there is an additional signup fee of $2.50. After Nov. 12th the fee increases to $35 for adults, children and senior fees remain the same.

4:30-6:30 pm Bib pick up and late registration at Staley Real Estate, 58 E. Market St., Rhinebeck

Thurs., Nov. 22nd

7:00 am Registration, Bib pick up at Baptist Church, Montgomery St.

8:00 am race begins

Awards and light refreshments (bananas, bagels, drinks) following the race.

Awards will go to the top three overall finishers, male and female; top three male and female finishers in nine age groups and prize for best Thanksgiving-themed costume.

Glenholme School 5th Annual 5K Run for Autism

The Glenholme School 5th Annual 5K Run for Autism will be held Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Steep Rock Preserve, 2 Tunnel Road, Washington Depot, CT 06794.

All runners, walkers and canine companions are welcome. This is a flat, out-and-back course, run entirely on gravel roads.

Entry fee is $20 until November 8th, $25 on race day. Dogs are $10 (race day registration only).

T shirts to the first 100 registrants.

Proceeds from the race will “provide therapeutic programs and an exceptional learning environment to children whose families would otherwise not be able to afford the services that we offer.”

Age Before Beauty 13th Annual Cross Country 5K

The Age Before Beauty 13th Annual Cross Country 5K will be held Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018 at the White Memorial Conservation Center, Litchfield, CT.

The race is a USATF/CT Grand Prix event.

Please park at Sawmill Field- there will be no roadside parking allowed.

The cross country course may be rocky and muddy with exposed roots.

The entry fee is $16 per person if received on or before Nov 4th. It is $20 thereafter. To pre-register go to greystoneracing.net for a printable entry form, and mail with check to:

Valatie Veterans 13th Annual 5K

The Valatie Veterans 13th Annual 5K will run on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 at Glynn Square, 3212 Church St., Valatie, NY 12184.

The entry fee is $20 per person if you pre-register online at active.com or print a registration form at bsa2114.legrego.com and mail form and check to:

Proceeds from the 5K will benefit two worthy causes.

Half will go to Boy Scout troop 114 to help fund scout activities, and the other half will go to the Ichabod Crane Central School BackPack Program which provides for hungry children on weekends when other resources are not available.
