Hopped Up for Health 5K/ 12K and 50 Mile Ride

Hopped Up for Health 5K/ 12K and 50 Mile Ride will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Big Elm Brewing, 65 Silver Street, Sheffield, MA 01257. This is the event’s third year. The race includes a 5K, 5K for 12 year olds and under, 12K and, new this year,  a 50 Mile Bike Ride (non-competitive) which includes a Strava route.

Pre-register for the runs online or get mail in forms at berkshirerunningcenter.com. You can also register on race day for an additional fee.  50 Mile Bike register ONLINE ONLY (no race day signup for bikers) at  https://www.bikereg.com/hopped-up-for-health.

T shirts to the first 200 registrants, both running and biking.

Entry fees are as follows:

12K Hill Challenge  pre-registration $40 , race day $45

5K  pre- reg. $25, race day $30.

5K  12 year olds and under  $15 (no T-shirt)

50 Mile Bike $45 (pre-registration only).

Race day schedule is as follows:

8:00 am- 9:00 am  Registration, race day signup

9:30 am  Bike Race starts.

10:00 am  5K Run begins

Awards , music, food vendors, as well as  limited free massages after the races.

Prizes awarded to top male and female finishers in seven age categories. One free Big Elm beer for each entrant 21 years and older.

Proceeds from the race will benefit Volunteers in Medicine Berkshires, a nonprofit with offices in Great Barrington, MA which provides free medical, dental and other healthcare services to qualified uninsured residents of Berkshire County.

Millbrook Early Childhood Education Center’s 2nd Annual Print Run

The Millbrook Early Childhood Education Center’s 2nd Annual Print Run will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Millbrook Early Childhood Education Center, 30 Maple Ave, Millbrook, NY 12545. This is a rain or shine event with multiple running choices, especially for the youngsters.

Wa Wa Wally Waddle 10th Annual 5K and Kids Run

The Wa Wa Wally Waddle 10th Annual 5K and Kids Run will be held Sunday, May 12, 2019 at the Vassar Farm Ecological Preserve, Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY  12603.

The race is presented by the Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club.

There are three race categories- 100 yard dash for 6 year olds and under, 1 Mile Run for 13 year olds and under and a 5K. Also, in honor of Mothers Day, there will be an additional prize in the 5K for the winning mother/daughter or mother/son team.

There will also be face-painting, balloon animals and much more for the kids.

Pre-register at wallywaddle.org  before midnight May 10th. The first 150 5K registrants will receive a T shirt.

Here is the fee structure for the various races:

Kids 100 yard dash for ages 6 and under- Free.

Kids 1 mile run for ages 13 and under – Free if pre-registered, $5 on race day.

5K  Run/Walk  $20 pre-registered, $25 race day.

There will also face painting, games balloons and more.

42nd Annual Women’s Running Race

The 42nd Annual Women’s Running Race will be held Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Berkshire Community College, West Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.

This event, which is billed as the second oldest all- women’s race in the country, is actually two races. The event begins with an all-women’s race followed by an “everybody else” race.

This year the Race is free, but registrants can purchase event T shirts for $20. Buy before May 1st to ensure shirt size. Race day T shirt price is $25. Each shirt purchase is accompanied by a raffle ticket for great prizes. Additional tickets are $5.

9:30 am  Community Run

10:30 am  Kids Fun Run

Fruit, water, raffle and awards after the race.

Awards to the top three overall winners in each race and the top finisher in each of 11 age groups.

Catch Me if You Can 12th Annual Harwinton 5K Road Race

The Catch Me if You Can 12th Annual Harwinton 5K Road Race will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Harwinton Town Hall, 100 Bentley Drive, Harwinton, CT 06791.

The race includes a 5K, Kids 1 Mile Fun Run, a Kids Sprint and a 1 Mile Fitness Walk.

5K entry fee $20 pre-registration, $25 on race day. Kids Fun Run $5.

The Gilbert School , 4th Annual 5K Fun Run

The Gilbert School  4th Annual 5K Fun Run will be held Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Van Why Field, The Gilbert School, 200 Williams Avenue, Winsted, CT  06098.

The event includes both a 1/4 mile Kiddie Dash and the 5K which will be run on the school’s cross country course.

Entry fee for adults is $25, after May 1st and race day $30. Every registrant receives a great race memento.

Barkhamsted Elementary School 5th Grade and PTO 11th Annual River Run 5K and Walk

The Barkhamsted Elementary School 5th Grade and PTO 11th Annual River Run 5K and Walk will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Barkhamsted Elementary School, 65 Ripley Road, Barkhamsted, CT 06063.

There is no rain date.

The race, which includes both a 5K and a non-competitive walk, is an out-and-back course running along the Farmington River and People’s State Forest. No animals, roller blades or bikes please.

MTM 2nd Running Holiday Classic 5K

The MTM 2nd Running Holiday Classic 5K will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 188 Mallory Road, New Ashford, MA 01237.

This event is sponsored by the MTM Running Club.

The race will be run on a paved surface with a fast downhill finish.

Pre-register at runsignup.com. Entry fee is $15 plus $2.50 sign up fee.

16 year olds and under are free.

Pre-registration ends on December 20th.

Race time is 9:00 am.

Awards to top three male and female overall winners and top age group winners.

All runners get a candy cane.

Hot chocolate and a bonfire after race.

Law Enforcement Torch Run’s 5th Annual Holiday Sweater Fun Run 5K

The Law Enforcement Torch Run’s 5th Annual Holiday Sweater Fun Run 5K will be held Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Moe’s Tavern, 10 Railroad Street, Lee, MA 01238.

The event is organized by the Law Enforcement Torch Run with the Lee police Dept. and Special Olympics MA.

The entry fee for the run/walk is $20 per person online until Nov. 16. Race day entry fee is $25.

Entrants are also encouraged to do additional fundraising.

The first 100 registrants get an official 2018 T shirt.

Online registration deadline is Nov. 16th at 11:45 pm.

Ed McGuire Memorial 18th Annual Cannonball 5K Run

The Ed McGuire Memorial 18th Annual Cannonball 5K Run, will be held Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at the Falls Village Town Hall, 108 Main Street, Falls Village, CT 06031.

The event is co-sponsored by Shelly’s Hair Salon and the Falls Village Volunteer Fire Department.

Parking and restroom facilities available at the old Fire House (next to the Falls Village Inn).

Walkers and athletes with disabilities are welcome. The walk is 2.5 miles. Timing is by Greystone Racing.

The entry fee is $25 plus a T-shirt for adults and $15 plus a T-shirt for 14 year olds and under if pre-registered before Oct 18th. Registrants after Oct. 18th will not receive a T-shirt. The entry fee on race day remains the same.
