Bring on the Heat 5K Run/Walk

The Bring on the Heat 5K Run/Walk will be held Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Memorial Hall, 1 Town Green, Bethlehem, CT 06751.

The event, which is presented by Bethlehem Park and Recreation and produced by First Mile Race Management, will include a 5K run, a 5K walk and a 1/4 mile kid’s fun run.

Pre-register (or questions) at runsignup.com/Race/CT/Bethlehem/BringontheHeat5k.

Early registration fee is $25 to run or walk, $5 for the fun run. Please add $2.50 signup fee for online registration. Race day fee is $30. T shirts guaranteed to the first 100 registrants (5K only).

The race will be professionally chip-timed by the Empire Timing Company.

The race day schedule is as follows:

7:30 am Registration and packet pickup

8:30 am Kid’s run begins

9:00 am 5K run/walk begins

Awards, music and raffles after the races

A Free craft beer from Woodbury Brewery with ID

Awards go to the top overall male and female finisher as well as the top three in each of nine age groups.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Bethlehem Fuel Bank.

Ride 1 Rally

The Ride 1 Rally will be held Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Lime Rock Park, 60 White Hollow Road, Lakeville, CT 06039.

The Rally is presented by Spectro Oils and Lime Rock Park.

The multi-stage event actually starts with rides from several locations including Spectro Oils headquarters in Brookfield, CT.  The rides will begin with coffee and site tours from 8:00 – 10:00 am followed by group rides to Lime Rock Park where the Rally will begin.

The second stage is at Lime Rock Park where the Rally, which is modeled after the well-known rallies at Daytona and Sturgis, will be held. There will be vendors. great food, stunt and bike shows, a motorcycle museum and much more. The track itself will not be available for use.

Entry to the Rally is free, but donations are encouraged to support Autism Speaks, which promotes solutions for individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support. April is World Autism Month.

The Lime Rock Park gates will be open 11:00 am – 6:00 pm.
