Berkshire South Regional Community Center Swim-A-Thon

Berkshire South Regional Community Center Swim-A-Thon will be held Saturday and Sunday, April 10th and 11th, 2021 at the Berkshire South community Center, 15 Crissey Road, Great Barrington, MA.

Anyone who would like to participate in the Swim-a-thon is welcome and encouraged to join us. We will offer two water-based classes as a substitute for lap swimming again this year. These classes will be manageable for people of all abilities. We are happy to host swimmers of all levels.

Aqua Fitness classes will be 1 p.m. on April 10 and 11 a.m. on April 11.

We are extremely grateful for anyone that raises funds for our Aquatic and Adaptive Needs Programs by participating in a class or swimming as few or as many lengths of the pool as you are comfortable swimming. Swimmers of all abilities are welcome to swim individually or as part of a team. This year, however, each team member must swim at their own designated time, due to COVID safety measures. All individual team member laps will still be able to be counted together, as is tradition at the Swim-a-thon.

Due to COVID-19, teammates must live in the same household in order to share a lane. Maximum of two people per lane are allowed. If the team is greater than two people, two lanes will be reserved.

Register: Register by picking up a form at Berkshire South’s Front Desk.  Early registration encouraged. Limited lane availability. Swim times will be confirmed via email prior to the event. (If you don’t use email, we’ll call you to confirm.)

Recruit Sponsors: Sponsors pledge a specific amount per length that you swim or donate a flat amount in support of your swimming or swim class participation. All donations help fund Aquatic and Adaptive Needs Programs at Berkshire South. Sponsors might include family members, friends, neighbors, teachers, co-workers, or businesses, among others. A minimum of $20 from sponsors or as a donation is required to participate.

Cash and checks are accepted. Credit card donations may be made securely here or at the Front Desk at Berkshire South. Donations are collected the days of the event, April 10th & 11th. Pledged amounts are due by April 15th.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can answer any questions or may be able to make your participation in the Swim-A-Thon easier in any way. We’re happy to help! Raise $100 and earn a Swim-a-thon t-shirt!  Raise $350 and earn a Swim-a-thon sweatshirt.

Swim! While we are happy to have swimmers of all abilities and experience-levels, the more you practice and/or train before the
Swim-A-Thon, the better you’ll be able to do!
