Tri-State Amazing Race

The Tri-State Amazing Race will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the Colonial Theater, 27 Railroad St., Canaan, CT 06018. Ben Wolfert is the lead sponsor.

The Race is inspired by the successful TV show The Amazing Race. At the starting point (The Colonial Theater), two-person teams are given a clue which aims them to their first destination where they may be challenged with a task that they must successfully perform before they are given a clue to take them to their next destination.

Tasks may be either physical or mental. Not every destination will necessarily have a task. Teams will need cars to travel between destinations.

The entry fee is $40 per team, and pre-registration is required. Registrants age 18 and above are eligible, 16 – 18 year olds need parental permission for the waiver. Sign up soon because there is a 20 team limit. Each registrant will receive a free T shirt.

To pre-register, call or text Erin Fowler at (860) 806-3223.

Deadline for registration is April 20th.

Race Day Schedule:

10:00 am First clue given out and Race begins.

The finish line, like the previous destinations, is a secret.

The first place team will win $1000 !

Proceeds from the event will benefit Be As You Wear which “funds grass roots prevention, intervention and recovery research and to end the staggering number of fatal drug and alcohol overdoses.”
