The Race Around the Lake, 18th Annual, 3.5 Mile will be held Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Berkshire Hall, Brodie Park, 580 West Hill Road, New Hartford, CT 06057.
The race is hosted by At Brodie Park.
This is a family run/walk around scenic West Hill Lake.
Pre-register online or print out mail in forms at brodiepark.org. Free T shirts are guaranteed to all who pre-register by May 20th deadline. Race day registrants may receive T shirts but sizes not guaranteed.
Mail in registration is due by May 23rd.

The Make A Wish Ski-a-thon at Ski Sundown will be held Saturday, March 17, 2019 at Ski Sundown, 126 Ratlum Road, New Hartford, CT 06057.
The event is open to all ages. See how many runs you can ski or snowboard in 3 1/2 hours to win a prize in one of five age categories.
There is a $10 minimum entry fee.
The entry fee does not include the lift ticket price.
There is no pre-registration, simply register on event morning.

1:15 pm Teacup drawing and event winners announced
Teacup drawing (a raffle where you can target the prize you want to win) with great prizes- must be present to win.
Proceeds from the Ski-a-thon will benefit the Make- A -Wish Foundation for granting wishes to children with life threatening medical conditions.

The Litchfield Hills Triathlon, Aqua/Bike and Duathlon will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Brodie Park, 580 West Hill Road, New Hartford, CT 06057.
The triathlon features a 1.5K swim, 40K bike and 10K run. The Aqua/Bike will run concurrently with the Triathlon on the same swim and bike course. The Duathlon starts with a 4.5K run, joins the triathlon and finishes with a 10K run. Confused? Go to www.hartfordmarathon.com for details.
The events are chip-timed and officiated by USA Triathlon. Prizes will be awarded in a variety of individual and team categories. Because the event is USA Triathlon- sanctioned, membership is required to compete- either one-day membership ($15) or annual ($50). The entry fee for this event ranges from $110 down to $45 per person depending on which race and category you are entering. There are two early registration deadlines as well as race day registration with different fee schedules for each. Again, go to www.hartfordmarathon.com for details and clarification.

Proceeds from the event help support the Hartford Marathon Foundation’s mission to encourage individuals and families to adopt and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. The organization promotes fitness to all ages and abilities through community running events, school-based programs and community collaborations.

The Paddle for Preservation River Race will be held Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Main Stream Kayaks and Canoes, 170 Main Street (Route 44), New Hartford, CT 06057.
Please note: Registration and the race finish line are at the above address. The race start line is in Pleasant Valley.
There will be four classes in the 2.5 mile race on the Farmington River : single kayak, single canoe, tandem kayak and tandem canoe. There will also be a non-competitive Fun Flotilla that begins after races start.

$25 for single and $30 for tandem through June 14th, $30 and $35 respectively after June 14th.
Competitors must provide their own personal flotation equipment. Either bring your own boats or rent them at Main Stream at discounted prices.
