The Peoples State Forest New Years Day Hike has been canceled for 2021 because of the pandemic but as the Friends of American Legion and Peoples State Forest tell us ” you can always hike in Peoples and American Legion State Forests”.
Peoples State Forest New Year’s Day Hike
Peoples State Forest New Year’s Day Hike will be held Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Peoples State Forest, 106 East River Road, Barkhamsted, CT 06063.
Hikes congregate at Matthies Grove.
The Hike is co-sponsored by Friends of American Legion and Peoples State Forests.
All ages are welcome.

12:45 pm Meet at Matthies Grove
1:00 pm Hike begins
Hot chocolate and treats at Squire’s Tavern after the hike.
The event is free.
