Berkshire County Kids Place 2018 Golf Tournament

The Berkshire County Kids Place 2018 Golf Tournament will be held Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Berkshire Hills Country Club, 500 Benedict Road, Pittsfield, MA 01201.

The entry fee for the four-person scramble format event is $140 per person, which includes green fees, cart, lunch, on-course contests, tournament gift, dinner and a 50-50 raffle ticket. There is a dinner-only option for $35.

On- course contests include longest drive, closest to the pin, and hole in one. Players can buy mulligans and the right (for the guys) to drive from the lady’s tee on one hole- these for an additional charge.

To register email lbaran@kidsplaceonline.org for a mail in registration form. The registration deadline is May 15th.

Tournament day schedule:

10:00 am Registration, Raffle, Mulligans, etc.

11:00 am Shot gun start

Lunch on the Turn

Awards, raffle sales, silent auction and dinner after the tournament.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Berkshire County Kids Place to provide services to children who are victims of physical and/or sexual violence.

Champions Against Child Abuse, 13th Annual 5K/1 Mile Color Fun Run

Champions Against Child Abuse, 13th Annual 5K/1 Mile Color Fun Run will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Berkshire County Kids’ Place, 63 Wendell Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201.

Pre-register at thedriven.net before April 1st for entry fee savings. The price increases $5 between April 2nd and race day. The first 150 registrants receive an event technical shirt. There will be chip timing for the 5K by the Berkshire Running Center. For the 1 Mile Color Run there will be color stations at the beginning, middle and end of the run. Wear  white clothing to enhance the color experience.

The fee structure is as follows:

Adult (16 years and older)   5K $25 + $2.50 reg. fee.

Adult   Color Run   $20 + $2.50

Adult both races  $40 + $3.00

Children (ages 5- 15)  5K $20 + $2.50

Children  1 Mile Color Run  $15 + $2.50

Children both races  $30 + $2.50

Add $5 from April 2nd through race day.

Race day schedule is as follows:

8:30  am Race day registration

10:00  am 5K begins

11:00 am  1 Mile Color Fun Run begins

Awards  and water and fruit after the races.

Awards to first and second place finishers, male and female in each age category.

All proceeds from the events will benefit the Berkshire County Kids’ Place programs for victims of child abuse.

The Woofstock Annual Fundraising Dog Walk

The Woofstock Annual Fundraising Dog Walk will be held Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 at The Common on First St., Pittsfield, MA. The Pittsfield Cooperative Bank is the title sponsor.

The Dog walk is part of a larger family-oriented festival of activities which include face-painting, games, penny carnival, food, the webkinz adoptions which is sponsored by Greylock Federal Credit Union. Entry to the activities is free, and the entry fee for the Dog Walk is $10. The Dog Walk route is approximately one mile long.

 

Besides the entry fee, participants are encouraged to fundraise. They can get help by visiting berkshirehumane.org and click on “Events” to find fundraising tools and downloadable forms.

The Walk day schedule is as follows:

10:00 am Registration and limited activities

11:00 am  Walk begins

Noon  All activities

2:00 Event ends

Proceeds from the event benefit the Berkshire Humane and will be used to care for shelter animals.
