The Raymond James 2018 Monopoly Tournament, 7th Annual will be held Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Berkshire Hills Country Club, 500 Benedict Road, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
The event is hosted by the Berkshire County Kids’ Place.
There will be no event-day registration so pre-register at eventbrite.com.
The entry is $30 per person plus a $2.54 fee. The evening will include prizes, raffles, awards, hors d’oeuvres, snacks and cash bar.
The competition format is as follows: Everyone will play a preliminary 90 minute round. The top six finishers will play a 90 minute final round for the grand prize, which is a two-night stay at the Lakehouse Inn in Lee, MA and dinner for two at the Cork and Hearth.
The evening schedule is as follows:
5:30- 6:15 pm Check in
6:15- 7:45 pm 1st 90 minute round
7:45- 8:15 pm Snacks, hors d’oeuvres
8:15- 9:45 pm Final 90 minute Championship round.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Berkshire County Kids’ Place. Last year’s tournament raised $18,000.

The 6th Annual Jingle Bell Run will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 at the Berkshire Running Center, 34 Depot Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
The informal fun run/walk is hosted by the Berkshire Running Center.
The two-mile loop both begins and ends at the Berkshire Running Center.
Although the event is free, participants are asked to donate cash or toys to benefit the Eagle Santa Toy Fund.

The Poultry Plunge and Super Plunge, 2nd Annual, will be held Friday, Nov. 24 (Super Plunge) and Saturday, Nov. 25, (Poultry Plunge) 2017 at Burbank Park, Onota Lake, Valentine Road, Pittsfield, MA.
The event is sponsored by the Berkshire Law Enforcement Torch Run Program and Special Olympics, Massachusetts.
As if hopping into and out of cold water isn’t enough, organizers have added a new twist this year- the Super Plunge. Hearty souls sign up to jump into Onota Lake once every hour for 24 consecutive hours!
There is no entry fee for either the poultry Plunge or the Super Plunge, but there are fundraising requirements for each.
Poultry Plungers must raise $75 for their one-time shot and Super Plungers must fundraise $1000 each.
Last year, the Plunge raised $23,000 for Special Olympics Massachusetts.

The Thankful 5K Run/Walk, 2nd Annual, will be held Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017 at the Berkshire Running Center, 34 Depot street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
The family-friendly race will consist of six loops. Timing will be provided by the Berkshire Running Center, but runners will be responsible for their own lap count.
Entry for the race is free but participants must pre-register online or get printout entry forms at berkshirerunningcenter.com. There will be no registration on race day.
For a donation of $20 or more, the first 200 entrants will receive a long-sleeve Thankful tech shirt. All participants are also asked to bring a non-perishable food item which will go to the South Church Food Pantry.
Pre-registrants can pick up their race numbers at the Berkshire Running Center on Nov. 21st and 22nd, 10 am to 6 pm.

The Berkshire Healthcare Harvest Run 5K/Kid’s 1 Mile will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017 at the Paterson Field House of Berkshire Community College, 1350 West St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
To pre-register online, go to bershirerunningcenter.com. The entry fee for the 5K run is $25 for individuals who pre-register by printout form by Oct. 16th. Oct, 17 – race day $30.
Three-person relay team entry is $25 per person, $30 after Oct. 16th.
Entry fee for kids 12 years old and under for the 1 mile run is $10 or $15 to receive a T shirt.
Note : there is a $2 online fee for 5k entrants and a $1 fee for Kid’s run entrants.

The Woofstock Annual Fundraising Dog Walk will be held Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 at The Common on First St., Pittsfield, MA. The Pittsfield Cooperative Bank is the title sponsor.
The Dog walk is part of a larger family-oriented festival of activities which include face-painting, games, penny carnival, food, the webkinz adoptions which is sponsored by Greylock Federal Credit Union. Entry to the activities is free, and the entry fee for the Dog Walk is $10. The Dog Walk route is approximately one mile long.
Besides the entry fee, participants are encouraged to fundraise. They can get help by visiting berkshirehumane.org and click on “Events” to find fundraising tools and downloadable forms.
