Bill Brakeman/Jean Murphy Memorial Golf Classic ( aka The Possum Queen Golf Classic) Postponed from July 19th
This event was postoned from July 19, 2021.
The Bill Brakeman/Jean Murphy Memorial Golf Classic (formerly The Possum Queen Golf Classic) will be held Monday, August 30, 2021 at Greenwoods Country Club, 300 Torringford St., Winsted, CT.
The tournament is organized by the Possum Queen Foundation.
The event, which features a four-person scramble format, offers two flight times: 8:30 am which includes breakfast and lunch and 1:00 pm which includes lunch and dinner.
The entry fee for the 8:30 flight is $135 plus $15 if returning for dinner.
The 1:00 pm flight entry fee is $150.
There is a dinner-only option for $45.
Dinner and awards at 6:00 pm.

Prizes awarded for : Hole in One, Putting Contest, Closest to the Pin, Closest to the Line and Best Team Score ( first three places).

The tournament was renamed in honor of Bill Brakeman and Jean Murphy who both lost their lives this past year.
Possum Queen Contest and Festival Virtual for 2021
The always- zany Possum Queen Contest and Festival will be held virtually this year on Friday, January 1, 2021 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.
The event will be headquartered at the Crystal Peak Wedding and Special Events Facility in Winsted. Additional activities will be held on the Litchfield Green.
Auctions, which have been a major part of the Possum event will be held online for the month of January.

“Due to Covid, we are unable to host our annual Possum Queen Festival on January 1st, 2021.
We will however have a virtual event and Possum people will be in the center of Litchfield (outside and socially distanced) beginning at 1pm.

Possum Queen Golf Classic
The Possum Queen Golf Classic will be held Monday, July 30, 2018 at the Greenwoods Country Club, 300 Torringford St., Winsted, CT.
Entry fee for the 18 hole, four person scramble format event is $110 per person which includes green fees, cart, on-course contests, prizes, awards and dinner. There is a dinner only option for $35.
Contests include closest to the pin, closest to the line, longest drive and hole in one. There is also a putting contest and raffle.
