The Ed McGuire Memorial 19th Annual 5K Cannonball  Run will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, at the Falls Village Town Hall, 108 Main Street, Falls Village, CT 06031.

The event is co-sponsored by  Shelly’s Hair Salon and the Falls Village Volunteer Fire Department.

Parking and restroom facilities available at the old Fire House (next to the Falls Village Inn).

Walkers and athletes with disabilities are welcome. The walk is 2.5 miles.

Timing is by Greystone Racing.

The entry fee is $25 plus a T-shirt for adults and $15 plus a T-shirt for 14 year olds and under if pre-registered before  Oct 10th. Mail-in registrations must be postmarked by Oct 10th to receive a T shirt. The entry fee on race day remains the same.

The race day schedule is as follows:

10:00 am  Registration

11:30 am  Walkers begin with traditional firing of the cannon.

Noon  5K begins

Awards and refreshments (fruit and water) follow race.

Prizes will be awarded to the top two male and female finishers in nine age categories. Winners must be present to receive awards.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the Falls Village Volunteer Fire Dept. to help with their general operations.
