Norfolk Land Trust 5K & 10K Trail Races
The Norfolk Land Trust 5K & 10K Trail Races will be held Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Barbour Woods, 31 Lovers Lane, Norfolk, CT 06058.
The event, which is USATF- sanctioned, hosts both a 5K and 10K race. The 10K , which courses up Haystack Mountain, is an extended loop of the 5K.
The entry fee for both 5K and 10K races is $35 if registered by 8:00 pm, Sept. 20th when online registration closes. Race day entry fee is $40.
Long-sleeved Tech shirt to first 125 registrants.

Race day schedule is as follows:
10:30 am Registration and bib pick up
12 noon 10K race begins
12:15 pm 5K race begins
Post-race party and awards. Free chili for entrants at Infinity Hall and receive free pint glass from Big Elm Brewing.
Prizes awarded to top three overall winners, male and female, and first male and female in each of seven age categories. Winners must be present to receive awards.
Race proceeds benefit the Norfolk Land Trust, which is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation of natural heritage and open space in Norfolk, CT.

Hopped Up for Health 5K/ 12K and 50 Mile Ride
Hopped Up for Health 5K/ 12K and 50 Mile Ride will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Big Elm Brewing, 65 Silver Street, Sheffield, MA 01257. This is the event’s third year. The race includes a 5K, 5K for 12 year olds and under, 12K and, new this year, a 50 Mile Bike Ride (non-competitive) which includes a Strava route.
Pre-register for the runs online or get mail in forms at berkshirerunningcenter.com. You can also register on race day for an additional fee. 50 Mile Bike register ONLINE ONLY (no race day signup for bikers) at https://www.bikereg.com/hopped-up-for-health.
T shirts to the first 200 registrants, both running and biking.
Entry fees are as follows:
12K Hill Challenge pre-registration $40 , race day $45
5K pre- reg. $25, race day $30.
5K 12 year olds and under $15 (no T-shirt)
50 Mile Bike $45 (pre-registration only).

8:00 am- 9:00 am Registration, race day signup
9:30 am Bike Race starts.
10:00 am 5K Run begins
Awards , music, food vendors, as well as limited free massages after the races.
Prizes awarded to top male and female finishers in seven age categories. One free Big Elm beer for each entrant 21 years and older.
Proceeds from the race will benefit Volunteers in Medicine Berkshires, a nonprofit with offices in Great Barrington, MA which provides free medical, dental and other healthcare services to qualified uninsured residents of Berkshire County.
