John V. Vendetti 24th Annual Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament

The John V. Vendetti 24th Annual Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament, , will be held Friday, June 21, 2019, at the Fairview Farm Golf Course, 300 Hill Road, Harwinton, CT 06791.

The tournament is organized by the St Anthony’s Council of the Knights of Columbus.

The tournament is an 18 hole scramble . The cost of the event is $140 per person, or $520 per foursome. The registration fee includes green fees, cart, awards, raffle prize, hot lunch and a buffet dinner. Email evan51@optonline.net to pre-register or register tournament day.

There will be on-course contests such as closest to the pin and longest drive for both men and women, and a free two-year lease on a car from Litchfield Ford for a hole-specific hole -in- one.

The tournament day schedule is as follows:

8:00 am Registration

9:00 am Partial shotgun start

Lunch at the turn

Awards, raffle and buffet dinner after play.

The tournament is named after the late John Vendetti, Grand Knight of the St. Anthony’s Council, who conceived the idea of the tournament to raise scholarship money.

Proceeds from the tournament fund several scholarships for college bound high school seniors who are parishioners of either St. Anthony of Padua Church or Our Lady of Grace Church in Bantam.

This tournament is the sole fundraiser for the scholarship fund which last year gave 7 qualified high school seniors $1,000 each.

Torrington Child Care Center 9th Annual Golf Tournament

The Torrington Child Care Center 9th Annual Golf Tournament will be held Friday, June 14, 2019, at Fairview Farm Golf Course, 300 Hill Road, Harwinton, Ct 06791.

The 18 hole tournament is held in honor of Wayne Berlinski.

This is a four-person scramble.

Entry fee is $140 per person which includes green fees, cart, on-course contests, breakfast and dinner.

Contests include $10,000 hole-in-one, longest drive and closest to the pin.

There will also be a putting contest, 50/50 raffle and tournament raffle with many great prizes.

4:00 – 5:00 pm  Social Hour

5:00 pm  Dinner, Awards and Raffle Drawings

Proceeds from the tournament will help fund field trips for children at the Center.

Gilbert School Blue & Gold Golf Tournament

The Gilbert School Blue & Gold Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Fairview Farm Golf Course, 300 Hill Road, Harwinton, CT 06791.

This is an 18 hole, four-person scramble format tournament.

The entry fee is $150 per person which includes green fees, cart, driving range, gift bag, lunch at the turn, and buffet dinner. There is also a contest and mulligan package for an additional $25 which includes four mulligans and entry to the long drive and par 3 contests as well as low gross and low net prizes. (It does not include “Birdie or Bust” or par 5 “Vintage Driver Advantage”).

There is also a dinner-only $40 option.

To register, go to gilbertschool.org, click on “Athletics” and find “Blue & Gold Golf & 5K Run Event” for mail in registration forms. Registration deadline is April 26th.

Join these two fun events: the “Birdie or Bust” and the “Vintage Driver Advantage” for an extra fee.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Gilbert Athletic Department programs. Over the past 19 years, Blue & Gold events have raised over $110,000.

Harwinton Youth Sports Association18th Annual Golf Classic

The Harwinton Youth Sports Association18th Annual Golf Classic will be held Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Fairview Farm Golf Course, 300 Hill Road, Harwinton, CT 06791.

The entry fee for the four-person scramble format tournament is $160 which includes green fees, cart, on-course contests, awards and dinner. There is a $35 dinner-only option. On-course contests include closest to the pin, longest drive, hole in one and closest to the line. There will also be a putting contest.
