Hotchkiss School 26th Annual Swimathon Pandemic Version
The 26th Annual Hotchkiss School Swimathon should have been held on November 1st at the Hixon Pool on the Hotchkiss school campus, but the COVID-19 pandemic changed all of that.
Last year a record 247 swimmers participated to raise $16,000 for Special Olympics Connecticut and the Northwest CT Special Olympics Swim Team, but no such gathering would take place this year.
Instead, Hotchkiss swim coach/Swimathon organizer/Special Olympics CT board member Keith Moon swam back and forth across Lakeville Lake(about two miles) and 1992 Hotchkiss graduate Ian Graham did a simultaneous ocean swim at Nantucket, MA to raise funds for their cause. And they are hoping donations will continue to flow in.
