Mid Hudson Road Runners Club Turkey Trot

The Mid Hudson Road Runners Club Turkey Trot will take place on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Arlington High School, 1157 State Road 55, Lagrangeville, NY.

Races:
* Kid’s 1 Mile Run/Walk at 8:45am (Kids 13 and under only please; free with preregistration)
* 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk at 9:30am ($20)
* Joe Maggi 5 Mile Run/Walk at 9:15am ($30)
* Bob Rother Memorial 25K at 8:30am ($35)
– 3:30 hour time limit. Course support will end at Noon or whenever the last finisher is done, whichever occurs first.

Register before Friday 10/1 to save $5 on the 25K, 2 Mile & 5 Mile Runs.
Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club Members receive $5 off if pre-registered.

The first 1,000 2 Mile, 5 Mile & 25K participants, who want one, will receive a 2021 custom Turkey Trot pom pom hat.

Day of registration will be $10 more than the prices listed.

Refunds, Bib Transfers, Race Swaps etc.  
Refunds will not be issued under any circumstances including weather.  Please do not register until you are certain that you plan to participate.  Bib transfers will not be allowed.  All race participants must have a bib, do not allow friends & family to run without a race bib.

Selling your entry, or running the race under someone else’s entry will result in disqualification from this year’s race and exclusion from future events.  Switching between races (i.e. moving from the 25K to the 5 Mile) is allowed (assuming there is still space) however you will be required to pay any cost differences if applicable and no refunds will be given for switching to a less expensive race. Restrictions:
We are unable to accommodate wheelchairs, roller blades, baby strollers and dogs at these events.  The use of headphones is strongly discouraged.

Packet Pick-up:
Advanced packet pick-up and in-person registration will be available at Fleet Feet Poughkeepsie (1895 South Road, Poughkeepsie NY) from Sunday, November 21st through Wednesday, November 24th during their normal business hours.  Day of pick-up will begin at 7:30am on race day although participants are strongly encouraged to try to get their bibs at Fleet Feet during the 4 day pickup window to avoid long lines on race morning.

Pre-Race Communication: 
It is imperative that you register with a valid email that you check or you will miss important communications from race organizers.  All registered participants will receive an email on Friday 11/19 with all of the specifics regarding bib pickup at Fleet Feet and other pertinent race day details.  Please do not email us questions in advance of this date.

Awards:
Kids will receive a ribbon upon completing their race. Overall and 3 deep Boys/Girls in 4 & Under, 5 to 7, 8 to 10, 11 to 13
Overall and age group awards in 10 year age categories for each of the 2m/5m/25k. Overall / 18 & Under / 19 to 29 / 30 to 39 / 40 to 49 / 50 to 59 / 60 to 69 / 70 & Over

Please be aware that due to Covid-19 restrictions, we will not be permitted inside Arlington High School this year which means that participants will need to wait outside for the race to start.  

100% of the profits and donations from the 2020 virtual event will be donated to Dutchess Outreach. Dutchess Outreach acts as a catalyst for community revitalization and exists in Dutchess County as an advocate and provider of hunger and relief services in order to ensure that everyone, regardless of income, has access to fresh, healthy food, and the support they need. 43rd Annual Dutchess County Classic

The 43rd Annual Dutchess County Classic will be held Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Dutchess Community College, 53 Pendell Rd., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 using the William R. Steinhaus Dutchess Rail Trail and crossing the Walkway Over the Hudson.

The event is organized by the Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club.

The event offers five different races including:

Full Marathon ($70)

Half Marathon ($60)

5K ($25)

Full Wheeled Marathon ($60)

Half Wheeled Marathon ($50)

Online registration ends September 18th at 5:30 pm.

There will be no race day registration.

First race begins at 6:55 am.

There will be giveaway shirts (image to be released once available) for all 5K, half marathon & full marathon participants who register before Sunday, August 15th.  All participants will receive finisher medals, even 5K participants which is new this year!  Prizes will be given for the top 3 finishers in each age group (10 year age groups).

Bib Pickup & In-Person Registration Details:
Bib/shirt pick-up and in-person registration will take place from Monday 9/13 through Saturday 9/18 at Fleet Feet Poughkeepsie, Shoppes at South Hills, 1895 South Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.  Bib pickup hours are Mon-Fri 10am-7pm & Sat 10am-6pm.

All bibs for all races will be available for pickup at Fleet Feet during the designated pick-up times and you can pickup for a friend or family member without having to call the store first.  Race confirmations are not necessary, Fleet Feet will have the list of all registered runners. You can register for any of the races online and then visit Fleet Feet immediately after and they will be able to assign you a bib.  They can also help with race swaps (i.e. switching from the half marathon to the 5K) and in-person registration.

Dutchess County Classic Virtual

The Dutchess County Classic will hold its 42nd running as a virtual event.

The races are organized by the Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club.

The 2020 Virtual Dutchess County Classic will take place from Sunday 9/13-Sunday 9/20 and can be completed anywhere you would like!  Participants can choose from the following distances:
* 5K
* Half Marathon
* Full Marathon

The cost of each virtual event is $25 and all registered participants will receive a custom neck gaiter as well as a beautiful custom designed finisher’s medal.

The kid’s 1 mile virtual race will remain free but will not include any giveaway.

100% of the profits from the 2020 virtual event will be donated to Dutchess Responds, a 501(c)3 charity set up by the county to help other organizations in need during this difficult time.

How does a virtual run work? 
– It’s simple! You complete the required distance  at some point during the date range (9/13-9/20) anywhere you would like.  You can do the run on a treadmill or anywhere outdoors, we only ask that you respect the guidelines that have been set forth for social distancing and please do not run in groups.  You can track the time that it takes to complete your distance using the treadmill, a GPS watch or ANY activity tracking app (examples include but are not limited to: Runkeeper, Nike Run Club, Strava, etc. etc.) and will receive an email by end of day on Sunday 9/6 with instructions on how to submit your time into the live results starting on Sun 9/13.

Neck Gaiter & Medal Pickup/Delivery: 
– Fleet Feet Poughkeepsie (1895 South Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601) will be hosting curbside pickup for the neck gaiters and medals starting on Friday 9/11.  Participants can also opt to have their items mailed for an additional fee of $3.50 per registrant.  An email will be sent by end of day on Sunday 9/6 with additional details regarding the pickup.

MHRRC Ed Erichson Memorial 5 Mile and 10 Mile Races

MHRRC Ed Erichson Memorial 5 Mile and 10 Mile Races will be held Sunday, March 8, 2020 at the Lagrange Town Hall, 120 Stringham Road, Lagrangeville, NY 12540.

The five mile is a fast relatively flat course, while the 10 mile is a double loop with a challenging hill.

Please, no walkers, wheelchairs, roller blades, baby strollers, dogs, or headphones.

Entry fee is $25 for either race if you pre-register by March 6th.

T shirts to the first 100 pre-registrants.

Mid Hudson Road Runners Club members get a $5 discount if they pre-register.

Awards to males and females in seven age categories.

The race is named in honor of one of the founding members of the club, who died more than three decades ago in an automobile accident. A scholarship in his name is awarded each year to a deserving runner from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park.

Organized by the Mid Hudson Road Runners Club, this is a four-races-in-one event- the Bob Rother Memorial 25K, 1 Mile Kid’s Run, 2 Mile Fun Run and the Joe Maggi 5 Mile.

Please, no walkers, wheelchairs, roller blades, baby strollers, dogs or headphones.
