The Norfolk Junior Bonspiel will be held Friday, January 28 – Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Norfolk Curling Club, 70 Golf Drive, Norfolk, CT 06058.

Ice Box Open Bonspiel

The Ice Box Open Bonspiel will be held Friday, January 14 through Sunday January 16, 2022 at Norfolk Curling Club, 70 Golf Drive, Norfolk, CT 06058.

Matches will be held 8:00 am – 5:00 pm all three days.

Calder Trophy Men’s Bonspiel

The Calder Trophy Men’s Bonspiel will be held  December 2 – 5, 2021 at the Norfolk Curling Club, 70 Golf Drive, Norfolk, CT 06058.

The Bonspiel is comprised of four events, spanning four days and including up to 20 teams.

Friday and Saturday,  7:30-8:00 am

Participants will compete for various trophies and prizes among four different events.

Proceeds from the bonspiel will help fund operations for the Norfolk Curling Club, an all volunteer, member and donation supported non-profit.

Norfolk  Annual Tour De Forest

The Norfolk  Annual Tour De Forest will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 starting at the Norfolk Curling Club, 70 Golf Drive, Norfolk, CT 06058.

This is a slow-paced, 13 mile bike ride over both dirt and paved roads. Hybrid and mountain -style bikes are recommended over bikes with skinny racing-style tires.

Entry fees:

Adult  (20 years and older)  $40

Teen ( 13- 19)  $20

Children (under 13)  free

Tour day schedule:

8:30 – 9:45 am  Registration

10:00 am Ride begins

Refreshments and curling demonstration at Norfolk Curling Club after the ride.

Proceeds from the Tour will support Norfolk Rails to Trails and Great Mountain Forest.

Norfolk Curling Club Bonspiels Canceled for 2020-21

All Norfolk Curling Club Bonspiels (tournaments) have been canceled for the 2020-21 season. The Club typically hosts four Bonspiels every year between the end of November and the end of February at its 70 Golf Drive location in Norfolk, CT.

In addition, activities at the Curling Club’s facilities has been modified because of the pandemic. Besides the Bonspiels, such fundraisers as Learn to Curl and rental events have been canceled.

Curling for members- only will commence in mid January and run through mid April. Only one sweeper will be allowed during play.

SportingAcause.com will post and promote alternative fundraisers for the Norfolk Curling Club as well as other area non-profits that have had to cancel their sports-related fundraisers due to the pandemic.

Super Senior Bonspiel

Super Senior Bonspiel will be held Thursday, February 20 – Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Norfolk Curling Club, 70 Golf Drive, Norfolk, CT 06058.

This is an open event for any team combination of men and women age 65 or over.

The entry fee is $380 per team.

Entry deadline is February 8th.

There is a 16 team maximum.

Games begin Thursday evening with finals Saturday.

Ice Box Open Junior 2020

Ice Box Open Junior 2020 will be held Friday January 31 – Sunday, February 2, 2020 at the Norfolk Curling Club, 70 Golf Drive, Norfolk, CT 06058.

The Bonspiel is open to youngsters age 11 – 18.

This is an open bonspiel- teams can be made up of any gender combination of four.

Learn to Curl with Appetizers

Learn to Curl with Appetizers will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Norfolk Curling Club, 70 Golf Drive, Norfolk, CT 06058.

This is a one and a half to two-hour clinic where participants will receive a brief overview of the game, rules and terminology and instruction on delivery and sweeping. Time permitting, curlers will form teams and play a couple of ends. After the Learn to Curl there will be appetizers in the bar area.

The entry fee is $45 per person.

There are no refunds or exchanges for any reason (cancellations, no shows, weather, etc) unless the event is cancelled by Norfolk Curling Club.

The Norfolk Curling Club (NCC) is a two-sheet curling facility located at 70 Golf Drive in Norfolk, CT. Established in 1956, we are a nonprofit organization, run entirely by volunteers, supported by membership dues and income from special curling events. The club is a member of the Grand National Curling Club of America (GNCC), the United States Curling Association (USCA) and the United States Women’s Curling Association.
