Salisbury Beast 5K Run/Walk

The Salisbury Beast 5K Run/Walk will be held Sunday, October 24, 2021 at the Salisbury Town Hall, 27 Main Street, Salisbury, CT 06068.

Entry fee: $27.

Race begins at 9:30 am.

Please register online by 2:00 pm October 23rd!

Awards for 1st – 3rd place winners in men’s, women’s and under 18 age categories. winners and age groups after race.

There will also be a raffle.

The proceeds will raise funds for the  Salisbury Volunteer Ambulance Service.

Salisbury Cricket Club 5th Annual Charity Cricket Match and Children’s Fete Postponed

The Salisbury Cricket Club 5th Annual Charity Cricket Match and Children’s Fete which was scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Community Field in Lakeville has been postponed. The new date has yet to be determined.

Spectator admission to the cricket match is free.

The match will pit the Salisbury Cricket Club (SCC) team against “The Rest of the World”.

Match organizers are looking for participants who have played cricket before to join the “rest of the World” team. During the match’s half time, players will hold an informal clinic to teach spectators the basics of the game. The match will end around 3:00 pm.

The Children’s Fete, which will feature carnival style games, will run concurrently with the cricket match. Tickets for games will be $1 each.

The match day schedule is as follows:

10:30- 11:00 am Cricket match begins

11:00 am Children’s Fete begins

Cricket match half time Cricket clinic for beginners

3:00 pm Both Cricket Match and Children’s Fete end

Donations will be solicited from the players, commemorative hats and T-shirts will be sold and proceeds from the Children’s Fete will all benefit both the Salisbury Volunteer Ambulance  Service and The Jane Lloyd Fund.
