The Housatonic River Flotilla
The Housatonic River Flotilla will be held Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Bartholomew’s Cobble, Sheffield, MA.
This event is more of a boat parade than a race where community groups and businesses will float vessels of their own design and decoration in celebration of the Housatonic River, and it’s all part of a festival style afternoon gathering on the Housatonic shore at Bartholomew’s Cobble. The event will include music, food and river viewing.
The event day schedule is as follows:
11:30 am Event begins
12:00-2:00 pm Berkshire Bateria performs
1:00 pm Flotilla (boat parade) begins.
The event is meant to bring interest in and appreciation for the Housatonic River.
Organizers recommend that visitors bring lawn chairs or blankets.
Admission is $5 per person.

The Woofstock Annual Fundraising Dog Walk
The Woofstock Annual Fundraising Dog Walk will be held Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 at The Common on First St., Pittsfield, MA. The Pittsfield Cooperative Bank is the title sponsor.
The Dog walk is part of a larger family-oriented festival of activities which include face-painting, games, penny carnival, food, the webkinz adoptions which is sponsored by Greylock Federal Credit Union. Entry to the activities is free, and the entry fee for the Dog Walk is $10. The Dog Walk route is approximately one mile long.
Besides the entry fee, participants are encouraged to fundraise. They can get help by visiting berkshirehumane.org and click on “Events” to find fundraising tools and downloadable forms.
The Walk day schedule is as follows:
10:00 am Registration and limited activities
11:00 am Walk begins
Noon All activities
2:00 Event ends
Proceeds from the event benefit the Berkshire Humane and will be used to care for shelter animals.
