Community At Bat 3rd Annual Charity Softball Game
The Community At Bat 3rd Annual Charity Softball Game will be held Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Memorial Field Park, Bridge Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230.
The entry fee for the event, which is open to the public, is $20 per person.

Effort will be made to match registrants with their correct T shirt size.
There will be free SoCo ice cream, free E-bike rides, live WSBS radio coverage, and great online and day of raffles.
Proceeds from the event will help the Community Development Corporation of South Berkshire support new low-moderate income housing in the Berkshires.
Last year the event raised almost $7,000.

Sparrow’s Nest 7th Annual Superhero 5K and Kids Fun Run
The Sparrow’s Nest 7th Annual Superhero 5K and Kids Fun Run will be held Sunday, September 8, 2019 at James Baird State Park, 14 Maintenance Lane, Pleasant Valley, NY 12569.
This event, which is organized by the Sparrow’s Nest, is a rain or shine event.

Entry fees increase$10 after Sept. 4th.
Entry fees:
$35 for 13 year-olds and up
$30 for Heros – military, first responders, team sparrow members and teams of five to 50 members.
$20 for 12 year-olds and under.
Register by Aug. 25th to be guaranteed a T shirt.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Litchfield, CT 2019
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Litchfield, CT 2019 will be held Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019 at White Memorial Conservation Center, 80 Whitehall Rd., Litchfield, CT.
The Litchfield Walk to End Alzheimer’s is one of 600 such events taking place around the country.
There is no entry fee for this 2 mile event, although registration is required and participants are asked to make a personal donation and encouraged to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association either as individuals or as part of a team. To register, visit alz.org/walk.
Registrants who raise a minimum of $100 will receive a T-shirt. All registrants will receive a wrist band and a Promise Garden flower.
The event day schedule is as follows:
11:30 am Registration and T-shirt pickup (if eligible), receive wrist band and Garden Promise flower.
12:30 pm Ceremony
1:00 pm Walk begins
Food trucks, live music and more afterwards.
Last year’s Walk raised $107,000. This year’s goal is $117,000.
Proceeds from the Walk will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter which supports research and funds programs and services to families and individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
