The  18th Annual VNA Northwest, Inc. Golf Tournament

The  18th Annual VNA Northwest, Inc. Golf Tournament will be played on Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Fairview Farm Golf Course in Harwinton, CT.

The cost of the 18 hole four-person scramble is $150 per person, which includes green fees, cart, lunch, awards, on-course prizes including longest drive, closest to the pin, hole in one, low gross and low net, and dinner. There will also be a putting contest. The cost for dinner only is $35.

Early registration is recommended since the tournament fills up quickly.  Register online at www.vnanw.org. the deadline for payment is August 29th.

Tournament day schedule is as follows:

9:30-10:45 am Registration

11:00 am Shotgun start

Box lunches will be distributed during tournament

4:00-5:00 pm Social Hour (cash bar)

5:00 pm Dinner, awards and prize drawings.

All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the VNA Northwest’s Hospice and Home Care programs. Last year’s tournament raised over $15,000.

The Steve Blass Golf Tournament, 12th Annual

The Steve Blass Golf Tournament, 12th Annual, will be held Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Egremont Country Club in Great Barrington, MA.

The entry fee for the 18 hole, four-person scramble format event is $130 per person and includes green fees, cart,  boxed lunch,  on-course contests, prizes, awards and dinner. There is a $40 dinner-only option.

On-course contests include closest to the pin, closest to the line, longest drive and hole-in-one. There will also be a raffle including great pro sports memorabilia.

Early registration is recommended , as the tournament is easily expected to fill up. Please make checks payable to Region One Athletic Fund and mail to :

Sponsorship opportunities range from $50 to $1,000.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Region One Athletic Fund which supports a variety of programs including special coaching, sport training camps, special purchases and more within the schools of Region One in Litchfield County, CT. The Tournament’s namesake, Steve Blass, is a hometown hero who graduated from Housatonic Valley Regional High School and went on to greatness,  pitching two complete winning games for the Pittsburg Pirates in the 1971 World Series. This tournament  is Steve’s way of giving back to a school system that he credits for much of his success.

The Housatonic Youth Service Bureau 20th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

The Housatonic Youth Service Bureau 20th Annual Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Monday August 21st at the Torrington Country Club in Goshen, CT.

The cost for the 18 hole, four person scramble format tournament is $150 which includes green fees, cart, on-course beverages, lunch, prizes and cocktail hour/hors d’oeuvres reception. There is also an instant raffle.

Prizes will be awarded to 1st place and runner-up teams, closest to the pin, straightest drive and hole-in-one.

5:30 pm  One hour open bar, hors d’oeuvres and awards.

The tournament is a major fundraiser for HYSB which uses proceeds to fund a variety of services for at-risk youngsters and their families in the Region One school district of Northwestern CT.

The Grace Church Golf and Dinner Benefit

The Grace Church Golf and Dinner Benefit will be held Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Millbrook Golf and Tennis Club in Millbrook, NY.

The 18 hole, four person scramble offers both morning and afternoon flights with three different fee levels. The cost of the complete event, golf, lunch, on-course beverages, Izod embroidered golf shirt or lady’s visor dinner and auction is $175; golf, shirt or visor and lunch is $125; and dinner and auction is $110. Each fee level includes green fees and cart.

Dinner includes a cocktail hour and live music. The dinner will honor congregation member Connie Kinsey, and guest speaker will be Fred Apers, Executive Director of the Cardinal Hayes Home for Children.

All proceeds benefit Grace community outreach programs including Millbrook Community Pre-School, the EPIC Youth Empowerment Program, the Grace Latino Outreach Program, the Food for Life Pantry, the Church Alliance Senior Housing, among others.

The Adopt-a-Family Scramble

The Adopt-a-Family Scramble will be held on Sun., July 9, 2017 at the Undermountain Golf Course in Copake, NY.

There will be two flights for the two-person, 18 hole scramble, the first starting at 8 am and the second starting at 1 pm. Please arrive at least a half hour before tee off.

The tournament fee is $80 which includes green fees, cart, light lunch at the turn, on-course beverages, awards, pin prizes and a roast beef barbeque.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Adopt-a-Family which provides toys and warm clothing at Christmas for children in struggling families in the towns of Millerton, Pine Plains, Amenia and Ancram, NY. The nonprofit has been governed by Stacey Moore of Moore and More Printing in Millerton, NY. Last year, Adopt-a-Family served 365 deserving children. The Columbia-Greene Community Foundation Hole-In-One For Education Golf Tournament

The Columbia-Greene Community Foundation Hole-In-One For Education Golf Tournament will be held Friday, June 9th, at the Windham Country Club in Windham, NY.

The $135 cost includes greens fees, cart, breakfast, snack and awards.

The tournament day schedule is as follows:

7:30 am Registration and Breakfast

9:00 am  Shotgun Start

Proceeds from the tournament will help fund scholarships and collegiate programs at the two schools.

The Farm Credit East  7th Annual Drive for a Cure Golf Tournament

The Farm Credit East  7th Annual Drive for a Cure Golf Tournament will be held at the Undermountain Golf Course in Copake, NY on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Each year, the tournament raises money for a different cause. This year’s recipient will be the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York.

The  cost of the 18 hole, two-person scramble is $65 per person walking or $80 per person with cart. The price also includes green fees, on-course beverages, awards, on-course prizes and a chicken BBQ following play. Just want the BBQ? $20. Deadline for entry payment is May 26th- call Farm Credit East at (518) 851-3313 for details.

Last year’s tournament raised over $4000 for the Columbia Greene Humane Society.

This year’s charity, the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, has been feeding the poor and hungry in our communities since 1982. The Food Bank collects large food donations from the food industry and distributes it to people in 23 counties. The Food Bank provides 30 million pounds of food a year to 1,000 agencies.
