First Day Hike at Topsmead State Forest

First Day Hike at Topsmead State Forest, Wednesday, January 1, 2020, Buell Road, Litchfield, CT. Meet in the parking lot by State of Connecticut sign at 10:00 am. This is an easy hike approximately 2 miles. Bring water and snowshoes if needed. Dogs on leash welcome. Contact: Bruce Baldwin (860) 921-6374. Sponsor: Friends of Topsmead State Forest. First Day Hikes are free and therefore not fundraisers. They meant to bring awareness to the State Parks and promote outdoor activity.

Milton Resolution 30th Annual 5 Mile Run

The Milton Resolution 30th Annual 5 Mile Run will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020 at Milton Hall, Milton Road, Village of Milton, in Litchfield, CT. In case of inclement weather, listen to WZBG 97.3 FM or WTIC 1080 AM for postponement news. January 2nd is the postponement date. Learn to Curl will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Norfolk Curling Club, 17 Golf Drive, Norfolk, CT 06058. The event is organized by the Falls Village Recreation Commission. $20 per person is payable day of the event, but preregistration is required either at Falls Village Recreation Facebook or email fvrc@comcast.net. Learn to Curl with Appetizers

Learn to Curl with Appetizers will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Norfolk Curling Club, 70 Golf Drive, Norfolk, CT 06058. This is a one and a half to two-hour clinic where participants will receive a brief overview of the game, rules and terminology and instruction on delivery and sweeping.
