The Pittsfield BHS Independence Day 5K has been canceled for 2021. The race, which is sponsored by Berkshire Health Systems,  has been run in conjunction with the Independence Day parade . The parade has also been canceled this year.

However, runners have a new option this year. The Berkshire Running Center has organized the Firecracker 5K to be held July 4th. See separate listing.
