Vintage Race & Sports Car Parade & Historic Festival 39’s Opening Event
Thursday, September 2, 2021
Lime Rock Park’s annual Historic Festival opens with one of longest automotive parades in the Northeast, the Vintage Race Car & Sports Car Parade. With bystanders viewing from the roadside, more than 100 cars rally 17 miles through local towns.
The parade leaves Lime Rock Park at 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2021, making its way along a 17-mile route, including the towns of Lime Rock, Lakeville, Salisbury and Falls Village.
About an hour after the start, the parade of cars arrives in Falls Village for the Street Fair: Live music with Wanda Houston, entertainment, and great food.
“We have hit full capacity on our parade for this year! Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate drive up entries, stay tuned for next year if you would like to participate!
We welcome all spectators to join us for the Falls Village Street Fair for 5:30 pm to enjoy all of the beautiful cars, live music, entertainment, and great food!”
Spectator tickets are still available for Sunday in the Park and Gathering of the Marques. Tickets will be shut off Wednesday at 5 and there will be no tickets sold at the gate! Get your ticket today!
The Historic Festival 38 Labor Day Weekend at Lime Rock Park will be held Thursday – Monday, September 3 – 7, 2020 at Lime Rock Park, but the format will be much different this year.
The Vintage Race & Sports Car Parade will be held as always on Thursday, September 3rd at 4 pm in a 17 mile 100 car parade which will wend its way through the area. But instead of ending in Falls Village with a massive car show and street festival, this year the cars will return to Lime Rock Park.
Each parade participant contributes $25 each that is donated to a local charity. Do you own a 1975 or older sports car or vintage race car and want to be in the Vintage Race & Sports Car Parade? Visit http://limerock.com/historicfestivalparticipantinfo to apply.
Friday (practice day), Saturday and Monday, unfortunately will be spectator less racing days.
Sunday however, enthusiasts can come to the Concourse event. Tickets are online-only so get them soon because attendance will be limited.
