The Hillacious Half will kick off Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018 at the Morgan-Weir American Legion Post 27, 400 Bantam Road, Litchfield, CT.
The 3rd annual 13.1 mile race is open to individuals and two-person relay teams.
New this year: buy a mile marker for $25 which will bear the name of someone you choose who is currently serving or has served in the military. The race begins and ends at the Legion Post. The second- leg members of the relay teams will be bused to the halfway point and first-leggers will be bused back to the starting point.
No pets, or wheels are allowed.
The entry fee for individuals is $50 per person and $100 per team. For an additional $10, both runners and non-runners can buy a dog tag with name of a service man or woman, presently serving or a veteran. Register online at fasttracktiming.com or call Beth to get a mail-in entry form. Entry forms are also available in several Litchfield businesses. Register by Oct. 22 to get dated T shirt. After Oct. 22, get undated T shirt with no size guarantee.

Friday, Nov 16th, the night before the race, 5-7 pm at the American Legion- early packet pickup and late entry, and view Wall of Honor.
The race day schedule is as follows:
8:00 am Packet pickup, registration and last minute signup
10:00 am Race begins
Awards, raffles and post-race party hosted by the American Legion. Food and beer will be available for sale, and everyone, not just the runners, are invited.
The top male and female finisher will have their names engraved on a perpetual trophy housed at the Morgan-Weir American Legion Post 27 in Litchfield. There will be dog tags and other prizes awarded.
Proceeds from the race, after expenses, will help area veterans or their families in need. Last year’s race raised about $4,000.
Participants as well as spectators are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to the Legion Post to support their thanksgiving food drive.
